How to Use a Penis Plug
Looking to dive into the world of urethral sounding? Well, you've come to the right place!
We totally get that using a penis plug might feel a tad intimidating, but fear not! Our how-to guide is here to help you understand how to use an urethral sound safely and comfortably.
A penis plug is designed to be inserted into the urethra, stimulating your penis internally. Plugs come in a wide range of lengths, usually ranging from 1.00 to 4.00 inches, with different textures and shapes for each model. The most common ones are smooth and slightly tapered, making them easy to insert. Some plugs have a glans ring for extra stability, while others are hollow to allow fluid flow.
1. Inspect your plug
Before every sounding session, carefully check your plug for any imperfections. It should be smooth, without any signs of damage, roughness, or dents. If you notice any wear and tear, replace it with a new one for your safety and pleasure.
2. Sterilise your plug
To avoid any risk of infection, you should sterilise your plug every time that you use it.
Plunge the plug in boiling water for 10 minutes. Carefully remove it without burning yourself and let it cool on a clean cloth. Do not touch it again until it cools down completely to prevent recontamination.
3. Have a pee before you play
Empty your bladder before starting your play session to avoid any interruptions. Besides, the comfort of an empty bladder will enhance your enjoyment.
If you have a hollow plug that allows urine and/or semen to flow through, you can skip this step.
4. Practise basic hygiene
It's crucial to practise impeccable hygiene when using your penis plug. Clean your hands and penis thoroughly before each session to eliminate the risk of bacterial contamination.
5. Apply some lube to the plug
The urethra doesn't naturally lubricate itself, so you'll need to use lots of lube to make the plug easier and more comfortable to insert.
Opt for a silicone-based lubricant, as it will better reduce friction and provide longer-lasting lubrication than water-based formulas.
6. Insert your plug
To make the most of your experience, be cautious and patient. Your penis should not be erect.
- Whether you're sitting or standing, make sure that you're comfortable.
- Hold your penis by the base for stability and to make the urethral opening clearly visible.
- With your lubed-up plug in the other hand, gently insert it into the urethra. Breathe deeply and take your time, without rushing.
- If you experience any pain or resistance, stop immediately. Allow yourself the time to get used to the new sensations – your patience will be rewarded!
- Continue inserting the plug without forcing or going beyond your body's limits.
7. Enjoy your plug
However, if you’re a beginner, the LOVE Team recommends wearing your plug for short periods initially, up to one hour at most.
8. Remove your plug
9. Clean your plug
Wash it with warm water and soap, paying attention to all the contours. Rinse it thoroughly. Sterilise it as described in step 2 and let it air dry.
10. Store your plug
Keep your plug protected from damage by keeping it in a box or fabric pouch. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
